Do you ever feel overwhelmed when you start your day? That feeling like there is so much to do and not sure where you should start…
Do you feel like you spend hours “working” at your desk but often fall into creative avoidance?
`
Wouldn’t it be great if you had some direction so that you can just start and keep that steam engine process going throughout the day so you can sit back and say, “I’ve had a productive day”?
Well it can be just that, you just have to know how to become focused enough for a successful day!
I sat down with KC Rossi, a business and leadership coach, to discuss what we can do to ensure our day is a success on my Youtube Channel. We spoke about how to achieve three things to improve your productivity and day. She shared her one simple (science-backed) strategy you can implement to get set up for success.

The first thing you need to do is be all in! This means being focused on one thing – the results of what needs to be done. It also means eliminating distractions. Focus doesn’t just happen, you have to choose to commit yourself to what needs to be done.
If you’re hoping for some sort of magic tip to become successful overnight, then your mindset is in the wrong place. The truth is that some things are just so simple but so overlooked. The science-backed strategy that you need is SLEEP!
We are so focused on our to-do list but we leave sleep off this list, when it should be one of the most important things on your list. Studies show that it boosts productivity and makes you a nicer person to be around. It’s non-negotiable, without sleep, we cannot perform at our best!
Make sure you start the night before a productive day with these simple sleep-boosting tips:
- Allow for wind-down time (away from work and screens) for self-care.
- Once the sun has set, try to remove screen time. Our body works best with the natural sun time, but it’s not always possible so try to do what works for you.
- Set boundaries with clients like response times and realistic times to be contacted.
Start your day with another ritual:
- Start your day off with journaling or energy alignment.
- Do some meditation.
- Incorporate some movement into your day.
Like everything, it takes time to set these up as habits. You also need to tweak these a little to what works with your requirements, personality and systems.
